This years Sydney Sick Kids Appeal was bigger than ever.
With the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundations (SCHF) aim to help all sick kids, no matter where, no matter what, they have changed the lives of many. The SCHF exists to help provide all children with access to the best possible healthcare.
Over six massive weeks, the fundraiser hosted many activations across Sydney including a community activation in Martin Place and a donation takeover at all the major CBD trains stations in Sydney. The SCHF have crowned this year’s Sydney Sick Kids Day as the largest to date.
Raising a whopping $15.8 million, the fundraiser blew it out of the park going above their target by $800,000.
“The commitment of Sydney-siders and the wider NSW community to ensure children have access to the best possible healthcare, whenever and wherever they need it was proudly on display this year with Sydney Sick Kids Appeal raising $15.8M. We all know a child in hospital is a childhood on hold, and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation is committed to all children having the childhood they deserve. It is inspiring to know Sydney-siders support us so strongly in this mission,” said Kristina Keneally, CEO of Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.
“We thank every single person involved in Sydney Sick Kids Appeal. Whether you purchased a special SCHF edition FLATOUTbear, raised funds through our Stream Team initiative, volunteered your time, provided food and drinks for the hospitals, or made a tax-deductible donation, you are helping give sick kids the childhood they deserve,” said Kristina Keneally.
A MASSIVE effort from the community. Well done, Sydney!
